Princess Cruises “Love Boat” Pacific Princess made a heart-stopping entry into Sydney, Saturday 14th February 2015, lighting up the Harbour with a glowing, red heart.
Believed to be the largest at sea, the 4.5m LED illuminated heart formed part of a love-filled salute as the 30,000-tonne ship kickstarted Sydney’s Valentine’s Day celebrations.
The modern day Love Boat sailed under the Harbour Bridge with 300 heart flags flying from her dressing line, a three-metre high red heart painted on her funnel and her 680-guests waving heart flags from her top decks.
In honour of her namesake, the original Love Boat, Pacific Princess was given special permission to play a ship horn rendition of the well-known theme from the 80s television show while it passed the Opera House.
Pacific Princess was visiting Sydney as part of her 111-night world voyage which departed Los Angeles on January 23, 2015.
