Taking to the skies this morning, Bill Peach Journeys are celebrating 30 years of taking Australian’s to the outback and beyond, with the maiden flight of their new Embraer 135LR Jet. Reaching new heights in luxury aircruising, the addition of this luxurious 36 seat private jet aircraft enables Bill Peach Journeys guests to travel further and faster than ever before. “We are so excited to see this eagerly awaited aircraft take off on the celebratory Circumnavigate Australia Aircruise. We were overwhelmed by the response to this Journey, which proved so popular that the departure sold out within 2 days and a second departure planned for May 2013” says Jan Musgrave, Managing Director. First stop on this 18 day Journey is south to beautiful Launceston, before continuing west over the Great Australian Bight, up the coast of W.A., north to Cape York – the very tip of Australia – and returning via beautiful Hayman Island. The exclusive nature of this Journey means that only 34 exclusive guests will be escorted around the circumference of Australia on each departure, visiting some of the country’s most remote and stunning destinations. Captain Chad Tracy and First Officer Gerard Hanstede took to the skies, with 34 excited guests, at 0900 this morning, departing from the ExecuJet terminal in Sydney. The Embraer Jet boasts plush leather seats, full bar onboard, and travels at twice the speed of a propeller aircraft. The same aircraft will take a privileged 30 guests onboard the Inaugural World Aircruise in September 2013, journeying from Sydney to London and back again, with flights never more than 3 hours in duration, and therefore no jetlag. “We’re delighted to see so many of our loyal guests celebrate with us, as many have over the past 3 decades.
