THE Western Australian Govt is investing $4.2 million into revamping 36 regional centres. Broome, Derby, Halls Creek and Kununurra are among those to receive a slice of the Regional Visitor Centre Sustainability Grant Program - a joint initiative by Tourism Western Australia and Royalties for Regions. WA Premier and Tourism Minister Colin Barnett said the cash injection over three years recognised the "vital role of visitor centres in boosting regional tourism and jobs".
