Tunis security sacked

Six police commanders, one of whom was in charge of tourist security, have been dismissed by Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid after last week’s terrorist attack at the Bardo Museum. According to a government spokesperson, the move comes after Essid visited the museum, during which he is said to have noticed several security failures. The Bardo Museum is due to reopen to visitors this week. Authorities have arrested 20 people, of which 10 are believed to have been directly involved.
