THE first phase of Beijing's $15b new airport at Daxing is due to open by 2019, Chinese officials have announced. Reuters reports the project will initially be able to serve 45 million pax a year, with two later phases providing capacity for up to 100 million pax a year. MU and CZ will relocate to the new airport, a contender to become the world's busiest once fully operational.
