KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

 Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver against assigned goals, while prioritising and delivering outstanding sales experience through pro-active account management solutions selling
  • Manage and strengthen primary agency relationships in your portfolio with commercial engagement with an effective, regular contact plan with strategic objectives
  • Promote Travelport’s brand to agencies and the wider travel industry through targeted and agile marketing and sales agendas, ensuring Travelport solutions are understood and valued by the customer
  • Ensure long term commitment from the customers by focusing on the breadth of product usage and how this can benefit and add value for the customer
  • Provide professional demonstrations, functional support and product consultancy as part of the Sales Team
  • Be a product expert with in-depth product knowledge in specific product areas, providing technical expertise on the integration of Travelport products

Minimum qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant commercial sales experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
  • Professional relevant qualifications desirable

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated mental agility in sales negotiations with high levels of business and commercial awareness
  • Proven track record of developing agency partners and successfully driving business opportunities through a collaborative, consultative, reliable and empathetic approach
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, possessing a high degree of self-motivation, confidence, assertiveness and an ability to respond to rapidly changing environments
  • Excellent presentation skills, with a confidence that engages the audience.  Able to effectively deliver key messages and demonstrate products via a wide range of media
  • Able to plan and prioritise, being self-disciplined with good time management
  • Committed to providing excellent customer support and demonstrates tenacity when dealing with complex customer situations
