MORE TOURS FROM EXPLORE WORLDWIDE
EXPLORATORY holiday operator Explore Worldwide has introduced more than 40 new tours to its Discovery brochure for 2012-13.
Many existing itineraries have been reviewed to enhance the experience and the company is offering a five per cent discount on a selected number of new tours for new bookings made before November 4 which can be used on top of the loyalty discount received by repeat Explore! travellers.
This year sees Explore! venture into Papua New Guinea with an 18-day tour visiting the country’s remote villages, smouldering volcanoes and colourful festivals using a range of hotels, lodges, plantation resorts and village camps, with some meals, transport and the services of a tour leader.
There are also new Highlights of Burma and Burma in Depth tours which take customers beyond the classic highlights, giving them the opportunity to learn about the Mon Culture, Burma’s ancient temples and tribes.
The new brochure also includes 10 new budget tours, ideal for people looking to spend less without compromising on their experience. Having proved popular when they were first launched last year, the budget tours stay in simpler hotels and leave customers more control of what they see, where they go and how much they spend on food.
An example is the new budget tour of Egypt “Nile Felucca Week” which explores the Nile aboard traditional felucca sailboats.
New in the U.K. are tours in Wales and the Channel Islands. These include three-day hikes to the summit of Mt Snowdon and explores Snowdonia National Park, offering the chance to participate in optional activities, including mountain biking and sea kayaking.
