NUMBERS continue to grow for Wendy Wu Tours’ popular all-inclusive group tours of India but there has been a significant consumer demand for a wider variety of independent travel itineraries.
Product Manager Renee Thompson said that group departure tours to unique destinations such as India and its neighbours have always been popular but there has been a relatively new burst in requests for more diverse independent travel options.
She added India has a lot to offer Australian travellers and with the tourism industry strengthening over the years, it has provided us with more opportunities to design packages for the independent traveller.
New for 2012 is the option of extending the popular seven-day independent Golden Triangle package with a choice of three day add-on tours. These include Wildlife Extension at the Chambal Safari Lodge, the Spiritual Extension Karauli, one of Rajasthan’s holiest cities or the Mediaeval Extension to Bundi-known for its palaces and temples.
Another independent option introduced to this brochure is the Brahmaputra River Cruises. The cruise departs on selected Sundays between November and March. The 10-day Brahmaputra Exploration includes two nights hotel accommodation in Kolkata, seven nights on board the MV Manashputra from Tezpur to Neemati Ghat, all meals on board, shore excursions with an English speaking guide and transfers.
