APT advances NZ
APT has created two new 23-day luxury escorted tours in New Zealand for travellers seeking an in-depth appreciation of the country.
The tours are features of APT’s just released New Zealand 2013-14 brochure.
For the first time, APT launches this brochure with Fly Free deals (saving up to $1000 a couple) for bookings made before July 31.
There are also savings of up to $1500 a couple for bookings made 12 months before departure and half-price solo supplements saving up to $1100 a person on departures between October and April.
APT has also enhanced its Freedom of Choice local tours options in Queenstown from seven to nine. Overall, this service is offered in nine locations, including now Te Anau and Nelson.
While carrying the new tours — New Zealand Splendour and Magnificent New Zealand (both from $7,495 per person twin share) which are limited to 40 passengers – the brochure highlights APT’s lead-in 18-day Royal Tourer package (from $5,395).
The Royal Tourer price includes premier accommodation (featuring five two-night stays), 30 meals, luxury coach touring with tour director and driver, Freedom of Choice Touring in seven locations, Freedom of Choice Dining in Queenstown and Wellington, local guides, entrance fees, tipping and airport transfers as well as APT “Signature Experiences” such as exploring the Bay of Islands on a dolphin watching catamaran cruise and cruising the full length of Milford Sound.
In all, the brochure carries a choice of nine itineraries.
APT General manager Marketing, Debra Fox said that apart from choice flexibility, key selling features are Maori cultural experiences (including Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Hangi style feast), InterIslander Ferry, Tranzalpine Train, Mt Cook National Park and The Hermitage (a highlight for APT passengers), Franz Josef Glacier and Milford Sound Cruise.
