Travelmarvel tethers Tassie prices for 2012-13
Travelmarvel’s six Tasmania tours for the 2012-2013 season are priced at 2011-2012 season rates.
As well, the launch of the 2012-2013 brochure this week carries a series of early booking deals on select tours which offer savings ranging from $150 a person/$300 a couple to $300 a person/$600 a couple.
APT General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox said this popular program had proved itself in the market so had been subject to just some fine-tuning changes. It is seen as an alternative to luxury touring offered by parent company APT.
The brand is excellent value for money, she said, offering personalised touring, and the opportunity for clients to tailor-make their own holiday with flexible options like dinner, bed and breakfast or just bed and breakfast, as well as generous free time.
The program includes centrally-located hotels with all the creature comforts and picturesque surrounds, as well as the “must see” attractions, such as the Gordon River cruise, Strahan, historic Port Arthur site, Freycinet National Park, Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park, East Coast Natureworld, Ashgrove Cheese factory, Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre as well as Hobart and the well-renowned Salamanca Market and Launceston.
There is ample opportunity also to enjoy Tasmania’s renowned fresh produce.
Frequent and guaranteed departures, luxury air-conditioned coaches with reclining seats and onboard bathroom as well as a two-person tour crew (tour manager and driver) and itineraries incorporating both east and west Tasmania are key service attributes of Travelmarvel’s Tasmania program.
The tours range from the 5 to 11 days.
Lead-in tour is the 10-day Grand Tasman, priced from $2995 for the Room/Breakfast/Dinner option (or from $2845 if booked early – a saving of $150 per person) which includes luxury coach touring, cruises, nine nights’ accommodation, daily breakfasts and most dinners, all the must-see sights on a Launceston-Launceston itinerary, airport transfers, experienced tour director and driver.
Highlights include getting to know fellow travellers and crew at Welcome Drinks, Salamanca Market, Beaconsfield, Tasmanian Devils at East Coast Natureworld, Freycinet National Park and guided walk along Richardson’s Beach, historic Campbell Town, Ross and the Georgian village of Richmond, convict history at Port Arthur, cruise to the Isle of the Dead, a nature walk to cascading Russell Falls in Mt Field National Park, cruise Macquarie Harbour and the Gordon River to Sarah Island, overnight stay at the luxurious Cradle Mountain Chateau, see Dove Lake, Stanley and The Nut, sample some fine cheeses at Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Cataract Gorge, cruise Tamar River with farewell drink and dinner at the conclusion of the tour.
