Inside Peregrine’s new, in-depth Antarctica brochure, out this week, are a host of inspiring voyages, itineraries and experiences for would-be Antarctic adventurers to sink their teeth into.
Whether travellers wish to feel the euphoria of crossing the circle, want to explore the Falklands and South Georgia or dream of getting up-close with the Antarctic icebergs and wildlife – the brochure is practically bursting with options.
“I’m confident that this is our strongest range of Antarctica trips to date,” said Ken Ismail, Peregrine’s Head of Product and Operations. “We’ve got amazing diversity, which means our customers can really pick their ideal itinerary or vessel. Each trip is different and each trip is spectacular.
“On the new 22-day Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica via Buenos Aires excursion, for example, travellers are treated to an all-encompassing adventure,” explained Ismail. “Starting in Buenos Aires, they’ll head south to the Falkland Islands and South Georgia – islands renowned for their wildlife – and onwards to the pristine landscape of the Antarctic Peninsula. It’s nothing short of magical, and it’s just one of many.”
In contrast, those short on time can set off on an 8, 9, 10 or 11-day Antarctic Express trip, which have the option of flying, instead of sailing, over the infamous Drake Passage.
Peregrine’s four Antarctic vessels – the Akademik Ioffe, Akademik Sergey Vavilov, Sea Spirit and Sea Adventurer provide comfort and technical prowess for safe and stress-free navigating of the unpredictable Antarctic waters.
Onboard the ships, the Polar experts are always at hand to answer questions and provide insights into the continent that would be otherwise unobtainable.
Off the boats, clients who wish can enjoy the rush of setting foot on the ice, paddling kayaks in the midst of whales, and spending the night camping on the continent itself – an experience few can claim to have accomplished.
