New Horizons Holidays’ 2012 Mauritius program is on agents’ shelves now featuring an enhanced selection of new hotels and day tour experiences in this Indian Ocean idyll.
The program presents comprehensive accommodation options, including seven new properties included for the first time, a diverse selection of sightseeing choices, from relaxing catamaran tours to a new adventure tour, as well as a dedicated section showcasing honeymoon offers available at select properties.
Chris Evans, Managing Director, New Horizons Holidays, said, “We’ve expanded our Mauritius program to meet the growing demand from Australians seeking relaxing island holidays.
“The last 12 months have seen more than 20 per cent growth in sales to Mauritius, with areas in the north seeing the strongest increase. We expect to see the north continue to sell well due to its close proximity to the capital, Port Louise and Grand Bai.
“The program has been designed to cater for the diverse needs of travellers, with new properties introduced ranging from three to five star including the five-star InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort and the four-star Crystals Beach Resort and Spa.
“Our sightseeing is also carefully selected to suit those looking for adventure, culture or relaxation with a City Tour, Tea Tour, Catamaran Cruise and new adventure Speed Zip Lines, a wonderful way to discover the beautiful scenery of the ‘Riviere des Galets’ flying over the tropical vegetation, river and waterfalls on a series of zip lines.
“While adventure and value options are catered for, one of the most predominant markets are honeymooners looking to soak up the luxurious tropical atmosphere, perfect for romance. Catering to this market we offer a range of romantic accommodation options and packages. The Sands Resort and Spa offers honeymooners staying a minimum of five nights a 40 per cent discount for the bride as well as a complimentary fruit platter and bottle of sparkling wine. Our Hilton Mauritius Resort and Spa package also presents great value with a 50 per cent discount for the bride, sarong and polo shirt, fruit basket and heart shaped cake on arrival, a cocktail and canapé evening and bottle of rum on departure for all honeymooners staying more than three nights.
“Our new program equips travel agents with everything they need to sell Mauritius whether they’re clients are looking for family-friendly options, honeymoon packages, comprehensive information on travelling in Mauritius, sightseeing or the perfect accommodation to suit their needs.”
