Kuoni’s 2014 dedicated Italy brochure is out now, packed with destination guides, insider tips and a new layout making it easier to follow, grouping together beach, lakes, countryside and city product.
New to the brochure are the towns of Lucca and Pietrasanta in Tuscany, 35 hand-picked hotels that provide something a little bit different, a Royal Clipper cruise, more multi-centre suggestions and a new tour – Highlights & Hidden Treasures of Sicily.
To highlight the simplicity of rail travel in Italy, details have been brought to the front of the brochure with useful information and suggestions of how to get around from city to city, through the rolling hills of the countryside and along the rugged coastlines.
Sarah Jackson, Commercial & Product Manager for Italy, says: “Italy is Kuoni UK’s biggest selling European destination so it is increasingly important that we listen to our discerning customers and make sure we continue to surprise and delight them with new and creative additions. For 2014 we have improved the layout of the brochure and introduced towns and hotels that will help our customers get under the skin of the Italian way of life.”

The five-star family owned and run Capo La Gala in Sorrento is ideal for young couples looking to get away from it all and spend some romantic time together. Set on the cliff edge overlooking the stunning Bay of Naples it has a Michelin star restaurant, trendy cocktail bar and an aquarium and wellness area set in a ‘marine cave’.
Tenuta Monacelle in Puglia, formally a convent but now converted into a ‘Truli village’ with its iconic shaped buildings, provides a unique experience. Old traditional features can be seen throughout with rooms located in the more modern section known as the Masserie and the restaurant set in one of the Truli buildings. Perfect for honeymooners.
Eccentric luxury hotel, Boscolo Aleph in Rome is great for couples, situated in a quieter area of the city, walking distance from the main sights. The lower part of the hotel retains its old Roman charm and features from the old bank and upper parts take on a gothic feel with red & black décor. Its trendy ‘Angelo’s Bar’ is a popular haunt for locals as well as guests.
The town of Lucca, one of Tuscany’s best-kept secrets is a beautiful medieval city set within 16th Century walls. It is a labyrinth of narrow streets and small squares and is easy to explore by foot or bicycle.
Famous for its artwork of Botero, the delightful small town of Pietrasanta has cobbled streets littered with bars, restaurants and street café’s and is popular with artists coming to visit the many artisan workshops.
