Bunnik Tours have launched their NEW 2013 South America Cruise & Tour program.
Teaming up with luxury cruise company Holland America Line they have created the ultimate South American holiday. Two 31 day journeys combine the best of small group touring with an unforgettable 13 day ocean cruise along South America’s stunning coast.
Managing Director, Dennis Bunnik says, “Until now most touring on cruising holidays tended to concentrate on simple city stays at either end of the cruise. Bunnik Tours is changing that and we’ve created a small group touring experience in South America that does this amazing continent justice.”
Who can resist the allure of sailing through the Chilean Fjord getting up close to the impressive glaciers at Glacier Alley, making your way inland to the Sacred Valley to visit the famous lost city of the Incas – Machu Picchu, or standing in front of the thunderous Iguazu Falls?
New – Cruise & Tour – Best of South America – 31 days from $11,727pp
New – Cruise & Tour – South American Wonders – 31 days from $12,469pp
These two exciting new itineraries are scheduled to depart on 12 February and 18 March 2013. Pre-sales mean a number of cabins are already booked so early booking is recommended.
Each of the two itineraries include a 13 night cruise on Holland America Line’s MS Veendam. Recently upgraded, the MS Veendam provides 5 star luxury as you cruise from Argentina to Chile.
Other cruising highlights include the port of Ushuaia in Argentina, gateway to the wild landscape of Tierra Del Fuego National Park and Punta Arenas. Also included is a stop in that famous British outpost, the Falkland Islands.
Led by an expert guide, the small group touring starts in Peru with 2 nights in Lima before heading to Cusco the ancient capital of the Incas. The journey towards Machu Picchu starts with an overnight stay in the Sacred Valley where you join the locals to barter at the Pisac market. “Then there is Machu Picchu!’ says Dennis Bunnik. ‘Its dramatic mountain setting will take your breath away. The clouds floating between the Andes peaks just add to the mystery.”
From Peru it’s on to the lively city of Rio. Considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities Rio is a mix of beaches, mountains and people who have a palpable love of life. Copacabana Beach is great with both locals and tourists enjoying the relaxed party atmosphere. Another highlight is the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer who overlooks the city from the top of Corcovado Hill.
The tour then travels inland to the experience the world’s most powerful waterfalls at Iguazu.
“Words can’t describe it, photos don’t do it justice, video comes close but really nothing prepares you for the power of Iguazu’, says Dennis. ‘You can feel the energy coming off the water, it’s an amazing experience.”
Finally the tour includes two nights in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires. Often described as the Paris of South America is has a definite European feel but with a strong passionate Latin heart.
