FOUR brand new deluxe river cruising ships designed especially for European river itineraries are the highlight of the Waterways and Beyond brochure for 2012 just release by river cruise specialist Beyond Travel.
The brochure also offers reductions of up to 15 per cent on 2011 brochure prices, with savings such as $1100 per person on the 15-day Grand European itinerary.
Earlybird booking discounts for 2012 cruises are up to $4000 per couple and are available until July 31. Beyond are also offering exclusive free private car transfers on many voyages, as well as exclusive extras and add-on options before and after cruises.
The new custom made luxurious vessels – Viking Idun, Viking Freya, Viking Njord and Viking Odin – have environmentally friendly hybrid engines which are the most economical engine with minimal effect on the environment, and reduced vibration. There are also solar panels and a roof top herb garden.
The ships’ new dining concept is the Aquavit Terraces opening out to the deck to create an alfresco dining area. There are more suites on-board than any other river cruise ship and each feature French balconies off the bedroom and a full veranda off the living room. Two new Explorer suites have been introduced per ship with a private wrap-around terrace.
Marketing manager Bryce Crampton said these new ships join an existing fleet of 21 Viking River Cruises available from Beyond Travel, including the most varied and great value river cruise options in the market for cruises throughout Russia, China and Europe.
