Boutique touring group Back-Roads Touring has launched its UK and Europe Winter 2013/14 brochure five months ahead of schedule off the back of strong Australasia sales.
The 24-page brochure features seven small group itineraries including four new tours exploring fresh destinations such as Cesky Krumlov and Budapest, extensions to two of its best-selling holidays and a 5 per cent earlybird discount when booked and paid in full by 31 May.
“The brochure has been released five months earlier off the back of an exceptionally strong first quarter – bookings are up 80 per cent in Australia and 77 per cent in New Zealand compared to the same time last year,” Back-Roads Touring global sales and marketing manager Anna Kemp said.
“We’ve introduced several exciting new tours as small group travel continues to be a popular way to enjoy authentic local experiences, unique local accommodation, culinary encounters as well as some of Europe’s best Christmas markets.”
The new 10-day Austria: A Winter Wonderland journeys through Munich, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Cesky Krumlov and Vienna with highlights including a visit to Andechs Monastery where local beer has been brewed since the Middle Ages, the Groedig Christmas market and a gala dinner and concert in Vienna from $3415* per person twin share.
Discover the wonders of the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary on the new 10-day Eastern Europe Winter Escape which includes visits to celebrated Christmas markets in Prague, Krakow and Budapest and a Danube River cruise from $2693* per person twin share.
Other new itineraries are the 8-day From Berlin to Bohemia exploring Berlin, Dresden and Prague and the 8-day Bavaria & the Romantic Road through Heidelberg, Nuremberg and Oberammergau.
Back-Roads has also extended its popular Heart of England itinerary by a day to five days with highlights including visits to the Oxford and Bath Christmas markets. A Scottish Winter Journey has also been extended by two days to a 6-day itinerary.
Back-Roads offers small group tours through the UK and Europe of no more 15 passengers.
Travellers will enjoy authentic local experiences, travel on back roads instead of freeways and stay in charming local accommodation. Back-Roads tours run at a leisurely pace with most itineraries departing after 9am and include many lunches and dinners of your choice at local restaurants.
