What’s cookin’ in Peru?
Last night Sydney-based Peruvian Chef, Alejandro Saravia and Movidas Journeys hosted an intimate group for a Peruvian dinner at The Lincoln in Potts Point Sydney to celebrate the launch of a brand new gourmet tour to Peru, departing in Mar 2011.

The 17-day ‘A Taste of PERú’ tour will see a group of 10-15 travellers embark on a culinary journey throughout the country, where they’ll visit food markets, taste new flavours, see amazing sights and mingle with the locals.

“This unforgettable trip will encompass the full culinary experience for any food and wine lover”, Movidas director, Robyn Smith told Travel Daily.

To whet the group’s appetite, the adventure will commence in Sydney with a private cooking class and degustation dinner led by Chef Alejandro.

Following this starter, Chef Alejandro will accompany the group to his native land for the main course.

The two-week journey will start in the capital Lima, the leading city for gastronomy in the Americas, and follow with visits to the Nazca Lines, Arequipa, the Valley of the Incas and the famous Machu Picchu.
